2009年是对全球建筑行业一个波澜跌宕的一年。现在已经到了2009年的年尾了。

 

Considering the circumstances, I am proud to say that Terraco Group has performed extremely well during 2009. Although growth in sales during 2009 has, in some countries, eluded us and we did not see our usual aggressive growth (on consolidated basis) during the year, this was mainly due to FX implications (devaluation of currencies vs USD during the year in Korea, Russia, Turkey etc). We have in most markets been able to maintain or grow market share and safeguard margins. Indeed, in some areas we have seen substantial improvements in gross margin and profitability - mainly as a result of savings in RM costs and increases in productivity.

纵观整个大环境，我很自豪地说我们集团在2009年的表现非常出色，虽然在一些成员国家，我们没有见到常见的迅猛增长，这主要源于汇率的变动（如韩币、卢布和土耳其元与美元的汇率变动）。在大部分市场我们我们巩固了我们的市场和毛利。在一些地区我们看到了毛利和纯利的增长，这主要源于原料成本的控制以及生产力的提高。

 

Our core values, formulated last year, have stood by us during these last 12 months and I certainly consider that our watchwords of Environmental Awareness, Cost Consciousness and Organisational Excellence (E.C.O.) have helped guide us through the past year. We are the environmentally friendly finishing materials producer of choice and remain well placed to aggressively target new and existing markets.

我们的核心价值，在2009年得到了非常好的体现。我本人相信我们的关注环保、成本优先和组织结构优化的宗旨已经帮助我们渡过了艰难的2009年。我们是一家绿色建筑涂料企业，并且将坚持做为开拓新市场的重要宗旨。

 

As always, the efforts and attitude of all staff and employees make Terraco what it is today – a great place to work with a true family atmosphere. Although everyone is deserving of praise for their efforts during the past year, some individuals have distinguished themselves by outperforming their peers or by going beyond the call of duty – as such, I would like to take this opportunity to again congratulate the winners of 2009’s Group Awards;

企业的成功总是由我们的员工的付出和努力、工作态度和勤奋分不开的。他们造就了涂耐可的今天 - 一个如同家庭的团队。虽然对于过去的一年，我们每一个真正付出的员工都值得受到表扬，但一些特别突出的优秀员工，我本人将趁此机会给予特别表扬。

There were many other individuals, teams and managers that have achieved noteworthy successes during 2009 – to name a couple; Mr. N. T. Binh, Terraco Vietnam and Mr. Phill Ferreira, Terraco UAE have managed to turn what started out as difficult years in both places to exemplary achievements.

还有许多其他的个人、团队和管理者都在2009年获得了成功-如：越南的N.T.BIHN和阿联酋的PHILL FERREIRA. 把企业带出了最困难的时刻。

 

Terraco Group has weathered the 2009 economic storm gracefully – while many of our competitors have faltered and failed – we have maintained quality, service and customer focus. Thanks to your efforts we will face 2010 as a stronger, leaner and even more focused company.

涂耐可集团已经经历了2009年的金融危机并做了出来。而一些我们的竞争对手则出现了停滞甚至失败。而我们保持了我们的质量、服务和关注客户的焦点。感谢你们的努力让我们在2010年成为更强更专业的公司。
